The Podcast

Kodawari.tv is a podcast about the craft of getting better. Each episode follows a simple question: why are we doing it this way, and what can we improve?

Kodawari.tv explores the small choices that shape bigger outcomes. Curious, pragmatic and honest we’re for anyone who cares about doing things with intention, while refining the process.

How this podcast started

Kodawari began as a way to make sense of a specific kind of cultural whiplash: living in Japan and constantly encountering approaches to work, daily life, and community that can feel almost inverted from what many people are used to in the West.

Some differences are seen as “better” from within. They may be more consistent, considerate, or resilient in subtle ways noticed only through experience. But this prompts a deeper question: are these improvements universal or tailored to a specific culture, history, and shared expectations?

The podcast started as a space to explore that question thoughtfully, without assuming any one place has it figured out. It is about paying attention, comparing systems with humility, and looking for what translates across contexts, and what only works because of the people and culture around it.
